Share docs with exactly the right people
Publish unlisted sites behind a share link, preview unpublished sites with your team, and decide who opens each space in the app.

Unlisted sites
Only people with the share link can open the site. Pages are marked noindex and robots.txt blocks crawlers.
Revoke a link
Regenerate the share link at any time; the old one stops working immediately.
Member preview
Members who can open a site in the app preview it unpublished or unlisted, with their own sign-in.
Teams and space permissions
Group members into teams, restrict a collection, docs site or space to the people and teams you choose, and give them a role there — above or below their organization role.
Adapted to each reader
Your product passes details about the reader — their plan, role or region — in a link or a cookie, and pages adapt.
Conditional content
Wrap blocks in a condition such as visitor.claims.plan == "pro"; readers whose details match see them, others don’t.
Pages for some readers
List a page in the navigation only for the readers it is for. Search and next-page links follow the same rule.
Same files for machines
llms.txt, Markdown versions and the sitemap show what a reader without details sees.
Frequently asked questions
Is an unlisted site private?
Unlisted means hidden, not locked: anyone who has the link can read it. It’s a good fit for previews, partners and early access.
How do I share an unlisted site?
Copy the share link from the site settings. Links between its pages keep the token, so readers can browse the whole site from it.
Can I revoke access?
Yes. Regenerating the share link revokes the old one immediately.
Who can preview an unpublished site?
Members of your organization who can open the site in the app, signed in with their own account.
Can adaptive content keep pages private?
No. The details your product passes aren’t verified, so adaptive content personalizes pages but never protects them — a conditional page still opens by its URL. Use an unlisted site or restricted spaces for anything private. Adaptive content is on the Business plan and above.
Who can open a restricted space?
Organization admins, and the people and teams it is shared with — on the space itself, or on the docs site or collection that contains it. Everyone else doesn’t see it in the app at all. Restricting is about editing and reading in the app: once its site is published, the site’s readers see it like any other section.
